He is home!

We are so lucky to be able to bring home our little 4 pound baby. He had to pass the car seat challenge today. It sounded like something from the amazing race, but it was a test to make sure he could maintain his heart rate, respirations, and oxygen saturation while strapped in a car seat for 90 minutes straight. We only had to start over 1 time and then he passed. The sweet little thing sat in there a long time today. He was really worn out from all the excitement.

We just melt when he looks at us and think he is the most precious baby EVER.

This is his newborn outfit drowning him. We had to have something to take him home in. This was the only newborn outfit we had washed when we got the opportunity to get our little guy here early.

Jason's hand gives you a little perspective of how "iddy biddy" (as Natalie calls it) he is.

Wow!!! Congratulations, Wendi! Carter is adorable! You are going to love being a mom, and you are going to be so good at it too -Carter is lucky. This brings back memories to when Landon was born (6 weeks early) but he was bigger than Carter - that's crazy!

That is so amazing that he is so little and doing so well. I have never heard of a baby that small being able to go home so soon after birth. That is great! He is truly adorable, can't wait to meet him!

holy cow, I had two of your babies in me. Brody weight 9.2 I can not ever think of pushing a 4 pound out. He would have just fallen out of me. He is so cute and little. You guys are going to be the best parents ever! We miss you and hope that everything is going good with that little guy.

PS: Carson wants to know if Carter wants to be his best friend, along with Niels. And they can all fight for Brooklyn's affection.

Congrats! We are jealous. We can't wait for our little boy to join us. He looks like a stud, just like old dad.

Hi Wendi,

I also stumbled on your blog...congratulations!! Your guy cooperated better than mine...my story is exactly the same, except I ended up in a c-section and have had 3 now:)And I have the same doctors-Dr. Tran did all my surgeries, but I love Dr. Stas as well. It is so awesome you could deliver him! He is just a cute little peanut, but he will grow soooo fast:) What a miracle!!!
