Utah

We made it to Utah this summer. Our first stop was in Logan with the Jorgensen's, where I didn't take many pictures, but I know they exist on Jason's mom's camera. Jason, although not photographed, was with us as well as all of his siblings and all of Carter's cousins.

My biking buddy Kiera came to visit! Nicki cut my hair at a different time. She is pretty amazing!

A neighbor lent the family this fun bouncy house for a few days. The kids loved it. Carter's size didn't hold him back at all.

Carter LOVED Meisha the Lab and would saddle her and proceed to bounce. She was a good sport!


Next we went to Price and Lake Powell. Again, I had poor picture taking although kind of with good reason, to keep Carter above water at Lake P. Carter LOVED the water, the jet skis, and exploring the house boat.

All of the Potter side of the family was there except 3 adults. Summer was there with her amazing photography skills. We hiked up Forgotten Canyon and at the top there are these Indian ruins. Carter is doing his Indian sound!



All the pregnant ladies and Melissa. We are in order from least to most pregnant, Melissa- not pregnant, Wendi-due December 28 (girl), Carrie- Due October 20 (boy), and Summer Due October 4 (boy).

SERIOUSLY!

It all started when Carter was playing Spider man...He was holding onto the toilet paper holder with BOTH of his feet on the wall. He was pretty pleased with himself and then everything came crashing down. At least he landed on the bath mats. Of course the holder was calling his name since it is just a bar, no toilet paper, since he hasn't gotten past the fascination with unrolling the toilet paper. Now he points to the wall and says, "Uh-oh!"


The latest came about on Friday when he learned he could turn the locks on the doors. He was having a little "think time" in his room for none else but playing in the toilet. I had previously mentioned Carter's new ability to Jason to just check the doors before shutting them which I did, but he pulled his cool maneuver after the door was closed. The hole in the door is not just a stick something in and it releases the lock. Apparently you have to turn with a medium sized flat screwdriver. I thought maybe taking the door knob off would help, but it doesn't. The door was still locked, but now with no knob on either side. Carter was desperately trying to help by sticking his side of the knob back up in the hole. Carter ended up puking from distress and backed away from the door. At which point, Jason broke the door down. I did not see that coming at all, but Carter was FREE at last!

We now have the door opening screw driver stored in an unlocking closet. Maybe our little girl won't be quite as adventurous.

It is so fun to think about some of the best days of your life. When we got married, that was by far the best day I had ever had. Now that we have had Carter that was a certain rival as another one of those amazing days, but now I have Jason and Carter! It must be twice as good as before.

It's a GIRL!

We are so excited to welcome a little GIRL to our family! She looks healthy, always a slight relief, and as cute as a kid can look on an ultrasound.
