Best Week Ever

Carter is now a week old. We are still just loving every minute and maybe a little tired too. Here are some pictures from the last week. He is starting to grow out of some of his premie clothes and starting to fit his newborn outfits. Grandma Jorgensen has been here since Monday with us.

There is a funny little story with these flowers…On Monday a nice delivery man came to our door and had me sign a slip saying they had been delivered. I signed the yellow copy and the pink copy was stapled to these nice flowers. I signed my name and was just awing at the wrapping paper with curiosity of who they came from and what they look like when I noticed the copy stapled to the flowers read “Hazel Atkissoon”. So I ran down the stairs, but the delivery van didn’t see me as it drove away. Within an hour, I got this call from a little old lady asking, “Is this the flower shop?” I replied, “No, but is this Hazel Atkissoon.” Turns out I had her flowers and she had mine. She lives just about a mile away from me and she told me how to get to her house for the exchange. She was the cutest old lady celebrating a birthday. It was nice to meet her, but mostly I was glad to have the right flowers and the sweet turtle for our little guy. The flowers were from the Special Ed. Staff at my school. It totally made my day!

Oh my goodness. I didn't expect to see a birth announcement already. Wow! Congrats! He is so tiny!! I wouldn't know what to do with a baby that small - my boys have been twice that size when born. He is absolutely adorable!! I'm glad everything has gone so well and that he is so healthy!!

I LOVE every one of these pictures!!! I have a little preemie outfit sitting on my dresser if I ever GET OVER THERE to meet him! Tell him not to grow too much just yet. :)

He is SO cute! And so little. You'll be amazed at how fast they grow up. And those flowers are so awesome! I love that turtle.
