Lovely Carter

Here are pictures of our healthy little boy. Lately Cater has sprouted some new hair where his head has grown so he looks less like an old man. He started making sounds and cooing. He continues to be a super great kiddo that loves to look at us. Caution!! There is a random amount of information about Zoolander. I attempted to add videos that I took with our still camera. We will be kind of lucky if it works. One was on accident when I was trying to take his picture and the other is a full 30 seconds of the same face. It is pretty impressive.

He has grown some girth.

This is one of my favorite faces that Carter pulls. It has taken me a long time to get a picture of it. I think it looks like Ben Stiller in Zoolander.

A few great quotes from Zoolander...
Derek Zoolander: I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

Derek Zoolander: Well I guess it all started the first time I went through the second grade. I caught my reflection in a spoon while I was eating my cereal, and I remember thinking "wow, you're ridiculously good looking, maybe you could do that for a career."
Matilda: Do what for a career?
Derek Zoolander: Be professionally good looking.

Maury Ballstein: What do we do when we fall off the horse?
Derek Zoolander: [thoughtfully looking up and mouthing the words silently] ... fall off the horse...
Maury Ballstein: [looking to supply finish] ... we... get back on!
Derek Zoolander: Sorry, Maury. I'm not a gymnast.

Carter ready to go. My aunt Bonnie gave him that cute sleeper with cars on it.

The boys taking a nap. So cute!

I love his blue eyes. We shall see what secret color is in there. He just loves look at us and he just loves us.

Derek Zoolander
"Blue Steel" is the name of a male model pose in Zoolander. The film's protagonist Derek Zoolander invented the pose and he protects it as a trade secret (it is supposedly patented). It is his claim to fame, along with his "Spiky Black Hair". The style of the pose is identical to all his other named poses, which include "Le Tigre" and "Ferrari". This contributes to the running joke that despite his reputation as a male model, Zoolander knows only one pose. However, his "Magnum" pose that saved the Prime Minister is different from the others because he turns left. The reason he could not complete the pose Magnum was because he could not turn left, until the final scene where he uses "Magnum" to save the Prime Minister.

AAAHHHH I love him! And whoa, okay, how come Carter has WAY MORE HAIR than my 1-yr-old? GIRL???? And he's a BOY! *jealous pout* I dated a guy named Derek in college, and he was always quoting Zoolander. And talking about how really really ridiculously good-looking he (himself) was. Random.

How adorable! Carter is getting some chubby cheeks... I love it! I thought he looked like a little Potter, but in these pictures I see a lot of Jason in him. Babies morph all the time. Carter is definitely rediculously good looking.
