Every picture we took in the last 2 weeks...

Carter is now 2 months. He smiles and talks. His favorite place to "chat" and have a good time is on the changing table. We haven't quite pinned down what is so great about the that spot...Maybe he likes being naked, the changing pad is comfortable, there's a picture of Jesus on the wall there, it is close proximity to our faces, he likes a clean diaper... It is still a small mystery, but a very very enjoyable mystery for all 3 of us. He cried his first tear recently. Now days, Carter is much more alert and gets overstimulated by some environments. The only way to get him to sleep when we are out and about is to restrict his visual field to your chest or a blanket, so he is not so distracted by everything going on. Of course, he can look around and play until he gets too tired. We just love having him.

Jason is currently a full-time dad and I have gone back to work. I have currently survived 2 weeks. It is quite tiring. The most damage so far is I have lost my cell phone, and forget at least something when we go out (i.e. binky, blanket, nursing shield, etc). I have also forgot to take pictures. OOPs! The camera has joined the objects that we forget. We went to the National Cathedral last Saturday. It was so much fun, but we forgot the camera. Most importantly, we have never forgot the baby.

We now put him in the sleep sacks at night to keep him warm. Before his whole body could fit through the opening for his head. He has grown so much! We will weigh him on Wednesday.

We went to a few memorial the Saturday Jas finished his finals May 9th. It was so nice to be done for all of us, but especially for Jas! He has knocked out 1 year of his Ph.D. program. HOORAY! We may be about 20% complete, but what an accomplishment. This is the Iwo Jima Memorial.

This is the Air Force Memorial.
