I'm not the person who is shy about wishing people a Happy Halloween/Thanksgiving or
dare I say Merry Christmas, but this is truly a post covering the pre-Utah holiday celebrations.
Happy Halloween- Carter wanted to be a Fireman and chose a lion costume for Kylie. In true 2 year old fashion, he went trick-or-treating barefoot since he refused to put on his shoes. Kylie looked like the cutest little lion and even imitated a "roar."
Happy Thanksgiving- We ate with Krista and Travis one last time :( As usual, the food was awesome, but the company topped it! Carter is hugging/tackling Brooklyn here while Jason and Travis enjoy some dessert and football.
Thanksgiving weekend Brett, Carrie, and Alex came to visit. We saw some amazing fireworks + a tree lighting at the National Harbor. We also visited the National Botanical Gardens with the Christmas festivities. These rank as sone of my top favorite DC activities. They have replications of the Washington monuments all made out of wood and plants. AMAZING!
We made a "gingerbread house" out of rice krispies. I have never been very successful with the gluing things together with frosting nor making gingerbread. Carter and I enjoyed ourselves, both making and eating it!
We went to the White House Christmas Tree and saw Santa. Both kids willingly sat on Santa's lap. Carter wanted a bike horn, but was a little shy about talking to Santa. He was the cutest and nicest Santa you could find, besides Jason.
DC Temple lights. We made it in to see Jesus. Kylie loved to point and tell us "Jesus" over and over.
Farewell to my BFF Krista. Sad!
The Jorgensen family Christmas tree 2011. She tipped over 3 times in the first 2 days and then we tied it to the stair railings. Once only inches from my baby.

Looks like some fun stuff! We've never been to the National Harbor. Sad that Krista had to leave :(
Well...so many comments on so many holidays...you will just have to call me. Really no shoes? Hmm I think I need to skype and see these cute kids again this week.
Wow! So much going on. Love it. It's so fun to see you and Krista together. And your kiddos are adorable!
I'm so super slow at catching up with your blog. I love that you have all those pictures of us though! I have some... somewhere... they never made it to the blog. Yet. I'm so sad to be far away from you! We need to remedy the situation in the near future. Excited for MAY though!!! And I hope Carter had a fantastic birthday!!!
