Gardening Buddies

Our weeds really grow out here, so I wanted to plant something instead of continuing to grow our wonderful weeds. It is hardly believable how tall they get so quickly. I finally made it to Lowe's actually with the intention of copying keys to our car door (details to come), but they were out of the size I needed, so I went to the gardening section. Carter and I found some flowers, herbs, and vegetables to grow. Since I had the plants, I then had pressure to get them planted soon. Otherwords, I couldn't do it slowly during Carter's naps or at night (too dark). Carter was my gardening hand. We have 2 little shovels, one for me and one for him, so he sat in the mud next to me trying to dig up the mud. He also liked to dig the dirt in the plants, but all turned out well. I think when he went walking through the flowers, it was far worse for the stems than the digging them in their plastic things. At the end of our fun, he had an extra dose of minerals that day!

We planted oregano, basil, parsley, tomatoes, cucumbers, crooked neck squash, and zucchini.

Wend - I should tell you Travis locked his keys in the car at school AGAIN the other day. When the school security came to help unlock him, this guy was like, "You know what you need? One of those magnetic key holders..." Trav was like, "Yeah..." So today I took it off the refrigerator, put a spare key inside, and stuck it on the front door. Baby steps...

(Speaking of, Carson is adorable, dirt and all. You will have to teach me what exactly to do with a baby boy...)

He looks like a great helper. I love how he was eating the dirt. Love it!
