Happy Birthday Carter!

Jason's family was here to help us celebrate Carter's 1st birthday! The crowd (not photographed with our camera, hence no pictures) proved to be great cheerleaders for little Carter. He started taking steps the day after they came just days before he turned 1. He keeps getting more coordinated, but not without a few falls, bruises and scratches. We haven't forget what an amazing blessing and miracle that Carter is. We were clueless as every couple is before you have a child of how much fun it is. We are so attached to this little boy so much that I get excited when he wakes up at night (pre 1 AM and only briefly for a snuggle) so I can see him.

One of his presents. A special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Potter for the interactive books and clothes, Grandma and Grandpa Jorgensen for the sentimental books and train, and Mr. Dyson our nice neighbor for the cool car.

The rock star trying to share some enticing cake.

Showing "How big is Carter?" SO BIG!

For our little family celebration, we took Carter to IHOP where kids eat free. He LOVES pancakes and eggs and all the attention from the waitresses and customers. He really enjoys eating out. We went to the Zoo and made mental pictures. We really only took these 2 pictures. Carter seemed to like the elephants best. It is still hard for him to see the little not so obvious animals, so we walked around looking for the biggest animals that actually moved. The lions which are hiding in the environment behind us didn't move. Silly kittys!
