A preview for future house guests...

Our sweet little duplex. Some of the best things about our new apartment are not photographed... It is our neighbors. On both sides we have the nicest people. The Dysons watch out for us (i.e. if I leave my lights on in the car, they will be over to let me know in minutes. They will come and stay with Carter after he is asleep if I need to run and get Jason. They love Carter to pieces and Carter loves them especially Mr. Dyson.) Connected to our duplex, we have Ruth and Rodger (i.e. They bring us bread and apples and will get little things from the store saving me a trip for that 1 grocery you forgot.)

Master Bedroom with a bed model

Main Floor
Family Room and Front Door. Carter loves the fountain. He just stares it down. I'm a little nervous for when he starts climbing and decides to venture off the arm of the couch into the little "protected" area. We may be redecorating over the next few months. We will see what becomes of the "entertainment" center.

Dining Room

The kitchen is as wide as a door. Notice how you can see a whole burner of the stove and the whole other side of the kitchen in 1 picture. It is just makes the kitchen easier to clean.

Basement
The Storage room is so helpful to have! I don't know if I could ever go back to not having one. It has awesome shelving on the right side and even more storage space on the wall behind.

Lastly, our guest accommodations. We just had Brett, Carrie, and Mark (Carrie's brother from Taiwan) stay with us, but generally the bed is up against the wall. It's like one of those stow-away beds. Guests get their own floor with computer, internet, laundry accommodations, and a study buddy specializing in Economics. There is a community bathroom on the top floor. Somehow I failed to mention that there is only 1 bathroom for when my sister's family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed with us for a night. She was slightly surprised; however, it was not a problem even with 9 people here.

WOW Wend I cannot get over your amazing decorating skills. Your place is so darn cute. I can't WAIT to invite ourselves over for dinner! *wink* Thanks for the tour; I loved seeing your new place! And I'm so jealous of all that storage! I love how you keep an econ study buddy in your guest room for guests. Does he get meals too?

That's great. It looks like a pretty good space-especially with the storage. That rocks.
